Should we petition Hillary?

She's clearly screwing up the chances of a Democratic win in November. I wrote Michael Moore about starting a net-wide petition to demand she steps out and allows the clear winner to do his job...before it's too late (if it isn't already)

Anyone who has an idea on how or where to do it....chime in

There's really not much that can be done until after the primaries are over (although one easy thing to do is to go over to Open Left, make an account if you don't have one and vote for Blue Majority to endorse Obama before the PA primary). Donating helps too - if Obama kills Hillary in fundraising in March it will give him some momentum heading into the coming weeks.

If Obama does well enough in PA, the problem will take care of itself. Either way, the math still greatly favors Obama at this point. Remember that campaigns are long and Obama simply had one bad week (capped by an incredible speech) - the media narrative is already starting to shift from Wright to Hillary's Bosnia story. Let's watch the polls in the coming days.

Done. Blue Majority now endorses Obama. What next?

If the shoe was on the other foot, would you tell Obama to quit?

RE: #4. Yes, I would. Why? Because the simple reality is that Hillary doesn't have enough states or delegates left to overtake Obama's lead. The stark reality is that Obama only needs 43.4% of the remaining 892 delegates (pledged and super) to clinch the nomination. Hillary needs 63.4% and that's if everything stays the same. Considering she's probably going to lose North Carolina, Montana, Oregon and South Dakota there's no realistic way she can win the nomination. Dem Convention Watch has the delegate stats if you want to see for yourself.

As for what next, we simply have to wait until after North Carolina. If Hillary loses, the supers will likely move in Obama's direction and pressure will mount for her to drop out. If Obama keeps Hillary's margin under 10 points in PA, the calls may start even sooner.

Petitioning Hilary's not going to accomplish anything. Other ideas please...
